Colourful Days
Colourful days
A colourful umbrella reminds you to tell her your leaving today on the train
You can't help the weather in puddles against leather as the rain flows quite gently along down the road to the drain
I had sunshine so clever like a tangerine tether that followed me around while I contemplated things in my brain
The light burned so brightly and now the rain clouds invite me to consider my fortune in colours that only bring pain
Tell her I'll never leave her because I'm wearing my red mack and the rain isn't going to stop or distract me ever again
So we walked in the mud with our welly's across fields full of people just camping then a frog jumped as dandelions dancing in bright yellow enhancing my mind colours retain
I kissed her quite slowly that night there was two of us only and we vowed to keep each other bright then I walked her home only through the moons guiding light and I promised myself what is right is just right .
