Colors True
We traveled many roads, you see,
As brothers and as friends.
Yes, you were always there for me
And would be till the end.
I never thought the day would come
When you'd plan your attack.
But underneath the summer sun,
You stabbed me in the back.
You dug in deep with your sharp claws.
You showed your colors true.
'Twas executed without flaw,
What you put your mind to.
You say we're friends, oh yes, but I
See through your cheap disguise.
You tell the world, but yet, you lie.
I see it in your eyes.
You fin'lly showed your colors true.
I got you figured out.
There really is no trusting you.
That's what you're all about.
I never saw this coming, no.
You did all that you could.
And now, you're laughing at me so.
You really got me good.
But we will see who's laughing now.
We'll see who's at a loss.
I hope you find a job somehow,
'Cause you just crossed your boss.
