Colors of War

A cause for war, not black and white, humanities answer, is to fight. From times beginning, right from the start, death and killing, by blackened hearts. Under skies of blue, the carnage red, green light was given, go make them dead. The golden rule, just doesn't matter, pain to cause, lives to shatter. Settle scores, by bullets brass, or lavender fields, of calm at last. The gray debris, of wars we dread, embrace the gold, of peace instead!

So poetically well written Mark with a powerful title. ‘ death and killing, by blackened hearts’ so profound! Very strong imagery with the use of colour. As Sara said, you have captured and expressed the atrocities of war vividly. ‘Embrace the gold, of peace instead’ is such a beautiful line. Thought provoking. Blessings to you :)

amazing and profound creation, Mark! True, the golden rule doesn't matter any more. The imagery was so powerful as you captured the essence of war in all its horror. We do dread the 'gray debris of war.' Makes me wonder why some people do. I'm guessing money, power, creed....not positive reasons. I ramble, Sara
