Colors
Colors
Colors are spilled on the ground.
Fall leaves scattered all around.
I wandered, I walked, with thoughts
Scattered the same, all I have fought.
Challenges in life I faced along the way.
Lurk in memories, continuing to play.
The colors live in what I overcame.
Giving me what I have just the same.
I have a choice in this very moment
To filter the ones that bring discontent.
I choose the colors that will bring a new
Way of learning some lessons from a few.
I choose to be patient for things I wait for.
Only in patience will God bring me more
Prayers answered with the things unknown
Acknowledgement for things that are sown
Into my life that bring burdens and pain.
Healing and insight for all I have gained.
