Colorado Poem

It’s oh so hot in this writer’s loft My words are dripping, sliding The heat depletes every ounce of thought and dehydrates my writing This pen, it sweats every word it gets and drenches the sweltering journal but I’m determined to stay with my writing today in this endless, relentless inferno …ten minutes ago the heat bothered me so but now I hear thunder and lightening So, I grab my notebook and my coat from the hook I’ll continue to do some more writing I best finish though, before rain turns to snow I hear that this weather is fickle Colorado’s like that - we learn to adapt as the rain spatters down to a trickle Oh wouldn’tcha know It’s starting to SNOW I can’t do my writing in mittens! Oh wait, it’s okay - the sun’s back this way (with the heat that I’m sweet on forgettin’)

Nice Gayle, as they say down here (and I'm sure in many places) if you don't like the weather in Texas, just wait a minute. This was wonderfully written with a nice bit of humor to fend off the forecast.

lol yeah, I think what they say about Colorado - if you don't like the weather, wait a minute!
