Colleta's Painted Walls
Do come in and have a look;
around this medium of painted walls
See up there, that's my dear Colleta;
painting her stallion of the old grace.
I tell you, when my Colleta was in her time;
she mesmerized gentlemen far across seas.
She called with no pen nor voice-kings and queens,
princes and princesses of kingdoms wide.
My dear Colleta, with her silk smooth hands,
painted these walls; of stories hidden beneath her colors.
She walked through these rooms and willed her brush;
called the winds far from the mountains of rocks.
She spared no time and shed tears of reasons she silenced.
My Colleta, gave smiles to eyes she never met.
To her aging hands she told stories to be shared;
to her dying breath she drew colors to be read.
Do come in and look around, this is Colleta and her stories.
