I see before me in all array collections of a bygone day classic chairs and dated books clothing and a complete attire of chairs where I have never sat and books that I have never read the clothing that I never wore Trappings if you will, to seal the span of time that maybe if my fate allows I'll sit in the chairs and read the books and wear the brocaded shirt with the paisley tie And someday I will give them away but who would want them anyway ©Ralph Sergi January 25, 2008

I like this. A complex dictation of layers of life, what we carry, our hopes and what we hope to become. It beggars the question what will I leave behind that will treasure my hopes. A 7 for me.

I am trying to read between the lines..There are things one wish to do in his life and yet hadn t done.Maybe one day all the ambitions would be fulfilled and maybe not..but what difference does it make to the others.I can relate to these thoughts ..always if i understood the conceps. What makes a man is definitely not the tie .So continue to give away your soul..Its what makes you who you are..and am sure many would love to be wearing your heart : ).Powerful thoughts penned.

You inspired a poem. I called it Another Man's clothes.

You might be surprised at who would want them. I like this little poem, it makes me wonder who I might become if I would read those books and wear another mans clothes.
