Cocoon of Comfort
If you think you are alone, you are alone
sleeping, sheltered by the ritual each day
that you keep for fear of all the wrong
that could happen if you step away
from the cocoon you have created.
It is quite your own, you know
and you have fooled yourself in a way
to believe that you are not worthy anyhow
Know that you never, ever walk alone
even if you see no one at your side
as you go out about the streets you roam
All you see are walls that rise high
Not realizing it is your cocoon of thoughts.
But you are the one who has to break out
of the cocoon you have built around yourself.
So wake up each morning, look in the mirror and shout
"Thank you, I know I am not all by myself
If you think you are not alone, it is because you love.
