Coast of Arizona
Show me shimmering light
With your utmost might
Couldn’t fight the fright inside
There’s nowhere I can hide…hide…
I cried aloud in the middle of the night
For you to be my delight tonight, tonight
But, this morning, I’m growing up and moving on
I’m moving on and letting go after the dawn, dawn
Almost breaking, almost waking up from my sleep in the deep
On the coast of Arizona, missing you the most made me weep
Show me shimmering might and I’ll dance with delight
Show me a way to move on and I’ll let go with my might
On the coast of Arizona…
On the coast of Arizona…
I’m silently in the shadows of the sun,
Waiting for the daylight of so much fun
I’m mellow and alone in my little group right now, glistening aglow
I’ll show you I’m on my phone for a greater purpose you don’t know
On the coast of Arizona…
On the coast of Arizona…
Show me a shimmering creek that I seek
I’ll climb the mighty mountainous peak
Couldn’t take flight like an eagle at ease,
So I walked in the sunshine in the breeze
I swam in my tears
I cradled my fears
I swam with joyousness in heart
I fell apart from the start, the start
I am not ashamed anymore
I love you to the core
I’m damned if I set you free now
I am falling back together somehow
On the coast of Arizona…
On the coast of Arizona…
I wiped my tears and wished away my fears
I raised myself with cheers and I’m all ears
To a delightful prayer I make before the dawn
It’s about time I move on, about time I move on
