Cloud Nine

7/29/22 Sane of a sound mind Stay out mine Just trying to reach cloud nine Instead of always experiencing the down sides Before it's chow time This all goes without rhyme Messes cleaned up with a rag In my presence tails wag I zig and I zag Got caught up in another snag Causing a brief lag I'll lose a battle, but win the war no need to wave a flag The same can be said for needing to brag Or nag Unlike some, I don't think I got it all in the bag At this point What is it, if you've got no voice Make a choice Staying adroit Because most are out to exploit Quick to rejoice Give me a minute, I'll tell it clear and true No matter if they don't want to hear you It's not all that it appears to Obstacles I steer and persevere through By now, it's all in the rearview Got me upset For too long they've gone unchecked While still looking suspect Yet now the dots are starting to connect No need to let it lead to some stress After all only made from bones and of flesh Done with ill will or in good faith Drama near and far from wood crates Too good to be true, at first it looks great Secrets, eventually the dam could break There's much I should paint While I stood straight In a corrupt and crooked place Many act smug Fast to judge Trying to get you to budge Saying you've caused another smudge I don't give a fudge Through all the sludge I trudge Occasionally in need of a nudge Instead of keeping a grudge Went through the flood Underneath moon or sun Experienced it all, like bad blood it's nothing new to come
