Close Your Eyes To Open the Past
If the world is moving too fast
Close your eyes to open the past
You’re sitting at your mother’s knee
Listening to fairytales with glee.
The smell of cookies in the air
Playing outside without a care
You were so young and fair of face
And running was your only race.
Those memories will always heal
When today’s strife you start to feel
Don’t be afraid, keep that child near
Along with others you held dear.
To live that happy time again
Open your eyes, you’ll find a grin!
