They don't produce them like they use to. William Powell, Myrna Loy, Tom Conway, Errol Flynn. I've become a TCM addict. Don't forget Bogie and Bacall, Peter Lorre, Jack Palance, etc.

You bet, Vince. I'm about to take the movie channels off my T.V. for good and watch the oldies on TCM. Love, daver

I agree....it used to be all about the dark and light and close ups of the eyes. Every flutter spoke a word unheard yet the message was clear and moving. They didn't need to jump into bed to leave a lasting impression of love. It was a different time and I am happy to have known it! Your poem relates that wonderfully Dave. I hope you are doing better my friend? Blessings

Daver, this is a very nice tribute to the old black and white films. But I was born just as the world was starting to discover technicolor and today, I adore colorful and realistic movies. I think the way you led to your conclusion in this poem was delightful. How you now watch the classic shows more and more. I can hardly blame you!! They had some really good movies in those days.

Dear Daver, I love these old movies too and have a collection of them. Friends laugh when I say I won't watch any movie with "metal monsters" in them. Now a good Hitchcock thriller is my cup of tea. Turner Classic Movies (TCM) was showing three Doris Day/Rock Hudson movies this week and I loved them! The scripts were written better and, thus, we listen more. Well said, my friend. Love, Carolyn

Ha ha..' Daver; and to which age do these great films belong..? They are part of a God aware world (on the whole) there were still bad things happening..' but there was a balance; at that time.' the more we accept sensationalism the more we revert to base values and the more unsatisfied we end up..' well done here..! a 10.'
