City At Night
The silhouettes of Palm trees
line the beach
drenched in neon lights
I enter the casino
walls of silver and gold
under moon of iron
Tonight I am a frequency
the electricity of the night
flows through me
I mingle with the tourists
the wondering tribes
in the corridors of the wilderness
I search for never heard sounds
to see never seen colors and shapes
I wish that this night
I become the smile
upon the face of a woman
I have never met
to speak words never spoken before
Along the beach
in the city at night
blue-black and sharp edged
barnacles and sleek fish
neon red starfish on the reefs
floating bouquets of jellyfish
swim among purple-blue bursts of foam...
