Church Clothes

Church clothes You go to church Wearing your church clothes. Hiding who you really are. Hiding behind your Faith and Bible. If only your friends Could see the truth. Your not white as snow. Your hands aren't clean. They are dirty like The games you play. Your a snake hiding In your form. Ready to attack Any moment now. A spider spreading lies Just like a spider web. I might be a black sheep But I don't hide behind my bible. I don't hide behind my faith. Making every one think Im an innocent sheep Who can do no harm. While you ripped my heart out Of my chest. And left me to bleed On the concrete. While I watched the one Who was opposed be there Walk away. Leaving me to die on my own. Telling everyone in at fault, To make yourself feel better. I saw the snake you really were, When I looked in your eyes. You can throw my name In the dirt. Kick me while I'm down. But I will always rise And burn like the phoenix I become. In the dirt you kick me down in.
