Christmas With Christ
Senator Pilate has given the judgment,
He will be taken to the cross tomorrow.
But there is no line of fear on his face,
While we are shedding tears in sorrow.
I remember the first time I saw him,
It still feels like it was just yesterday.
It was a serene scene with those angels,
And the three men bowing their heads to pray.
It happened three decades ago in Bethlehem.
I was young and so was the cold December night.
Limping on my way, I saw an old man dying of hunger,
So I gave him my last piece of bread seeing his plight.
And then suddenly a winged entity came from nowhere,
‘O doer of good deeds, within you love & kindness blooms.
Go to the manger ahead and seek the messiah’s blessings,
And you will never be damned to hell or walk the path of gloom.’
Saying these words, the angel disappeared in thin air.
When I reached the stable, it was sight to behold!
A holy light shone around the Lord’s son, the baby King of Israel.
And laid around him were gifts of frankincense, myrrh & gold.
I got on my knees to seek his blessings, he touched my forehead,
Right at that moment, my stiff leg suddenly got fine.
My eyes grew watery in happiness; this was a miracle.
Now joy would come on the world with the birth of the redeemer divine.
Everyone yelled ‘Glory to God in highest heaven,’
And I asked Mary & Joseph about the reason behind my cure.
To give the answer, the heavenly angel appeared and said,
‘Jesus will help all those who are true and have a soul pure’.
So Mary’s boy child has changed a lot since the first Noel,
Now he’s a fine young man who delivers sermons from the hill.
And even if he’s leaving us, he will remain forever in our hearts,
Guiding us on the path of righteousness & delivering us from evil.
HALLELUJAH!
