Christmas Spirit Renewal
When fear settles like morning frost,
and mind lingers on Christmas past,
shall I, my discord, forthwith cast,
from babe so soft, to bloody cross.
Did free me from eternal sin,
though undeserving, welcomed in.
When burdens great and sorrow deep,
sin nil within this sweet infant,
whose selfless sacrifice did grant,
that I may live, of his love speak.
Redemption of highest accord,
though I was distant, much forlorn.
You saved my soul from such torment,
so thankful I, whose price you paid.
Praise thee, dear Lord, each glorious day,
make tender my heart to lament.
May I take rest, within your arms,
now safe at last, free from all harm.
