Christmas Presents
So symmetrical, so picturesque,
Christmas gifts wrapped so tightly,
Spots, stars, squares and zigzags,
Placed throughout the whole covering.
Even pictures of Christmas trees,
Santa, snowdrops, sleighs, singers,
Mistletoe, angels, stockings, bells,
Snowmen, reindeer, stars, robins.
Ribbons for the love and attention,
Invested in your gift to invigorate,
That you can untie quite simply,
Remembering this was a free gesture.
