Christmas Magic
CHRISTMAS MAGIC
The magician pulled a rabbit from his hat
I wonder what you think of that
He made his assistant disappear in smoke
Repaired a rope that appeared to be broke
He brought forth a dove and a bouquet of flowers
Entertained a crowd for what seemed to be hours
His magic feats of legerdemain
Had the audience wanting to see it again
The things he did were optical illusions
Amazing perhaps, but also confusing
Once he finished, that was all he had
We left still excited, but also kind of sad
The real magic of Christmas is found in a Child
Born of a virgin in an unusual style
In a stall housing donkeys, cattle and sheep
He lay soundly sleeping, not making a peep
Angels visited from Heaven on high
Telling shepherds of a Savior born nearby
They spread the Good News praising God all the while
And the magic of Christ that was found in a Child
