Christmas In My Town
The countdown to Christmas day begins
A festive season of light and joy within
Homes cleaned painted polished and buffed
Bright colored lights frame front entry doors
Of all the houses great and small
In living rooms stand the grand Christmas tree
What a delight for Father Christmas to see
Beautiful ornaments hang on every branch
Refreshing pine scent the whole house enhance
The smell of cinnamon wafting over hibiscus shrubs
Children run and play before bedtime soon
Low in the sky hangs a full yellow moon
Reflecting its brilliance on soft white sands
Graceful palm trees dance to the warm ocean breeze
As a billion stars blanket the navy blue sky
Twinkle in celebration of Christmas in my town
