Christmas In July
When we first heard the diagnosis we cried;
Knowing he would never have another Yule tide.
Being faced with this bummer, in the middle of summer,
We decided to have Christmas in July.
Christmas was his favorite time of year;
Loving to spread the Yule time cheer.
So we set up a tree, when it was 103
And gathered all of his loved ones near.
He distributed the remainder of his wealth;
Being faced with his deteriorating health.
He passed the next day, happy to be on his way,
Not being left to die alone by his self.
Now come every mid of July,
We remember with tears in our eyes;
The passing of Dad and how he was glad
To celebrate one last Christmas surprise.
