Christmas Eve
Come, sing a melancholy tune with me
As we gather around the Christmas tree,
Enjoying our special time as a family
In front of the fireplace, warm as can be,
While reading from a book of poetry
“The Night Before Christmas” fantasy,
Thinking about the New Year, our destiny
Leaving some cookies and a cup of coffee
For Santa to enjoy while laughing with glee.
