Christmas Eve

Come, sing a melancholy tune with me As we gather around the Christmas tree, Enjoying our special time as a family In front of the fireplace, warm as can be, While reading from a book of poetry “The Night Before Christmas” fantasy, Thinking about the New Year, our destiny Leaving some cookies and a cup of coffee For Santa to enjoy while laughing with glee.

Monorhymes are a challenge, and you were up to it with this write, Milt. btw, that stick you mentioned that 'she' should put down in a comment on another poem... she's wielding it again against Biden. If Biden has occasional senility, it's not a sin, but the lying and immorality of her choice, Trump, certainly is. I've only been back 3 weeks, but I see how she's digging a hole for herself.

Thanks, Lin. I responded to her diatribe against Biden in one of my poems today. I'm not going to allow her to do this! I simply cannot. Thanks for your thoughtful comments. We must stand up for what's right for ourselves as individuals and for this site.
