Christmas Dinner
A most festive time of year
I surely can not wait
The anticipation is so great
I smell the turkey in the oven
The Christmas lights shining bright
Snow is falling
A blanket of angelic white
Christmas carols warming all our merry souls
Christmas cheer a plenty
Plum pudding all ready for the feast
Children running here and there, too a fro
Grandma kissing grandpa under the mistletoe
Aunts and Uncles, neighbors and friends
Nephews, nieces, cousins like elf’s dancing around the tree
Mum rings the Christmas bells
Dinner is finally ready
Christmas hats, crackers and wine
Stuffing to die for
I take my seat, for this festive meal
Surrounded
By these memories
I turn on the radio for company
I lift the foil off of the TV Dinner
Merry Christmas to the past
Humbug
