CHRISTMAS BY THE SEA I've spent Christmas in the mountains And in the city with flowing fountains But the best Christmas by far for me Was when I spent Christmas by the sea I looked at the water of azure blue And felt serenity through and through The whisper of the waves upon the shore Sent thoughts of joy to every pore I remembered the times of Christmas past The memories that will always last When we would rise on Christmas morn And read of the day when Christ was born The child who in a manger lay The Christ Child born to show the way To salvation free for you and me These things I ponder here by the sea I raise my hands to God above I thank Him for his boundless love A love so great, He sent His Son We'll live with Him when life is done So if you have an opportunity To spend a Christmas by the sea Listen to the sound of the ceaseless waves And think of the Christ Child who came to save Gaze at the beauty of the ocean blue And feel the love He had for you If you do, perhaps you'll see Why I love Christmas by the sea Curtis Moorman 1 September 2011 Inspired by my 8 year old grandson, Stephen

Sounds lovely, where were you by the sea? Maine? or west coast, I am assuming you're American, from your poems. I like down east in Canada by the sea, its so quaint. Lee
