Chores Late 70's
Says the child to herself
put the toys upon the shelf
thus when mother comes to see
she will give her praise to me
Get up , get dressed and comb my hair
she'll be sure to look and stare
and as she does stand agape
I'll proceed to clean my nape
with socks and shoes upon my feet
she will surely know I'm neat
Sweep my room and make the bed
I'll have her spinning in the head
flush the toilet , take a bath
it's positive to make her laugh
Clean my plate and wash the dishes
I suppose would fill her wishes
Wash the laundry fold it up
feed the cat and brush the pup
Play outside and wipe my feet
pick up garbage and change the sheet
and supposing I do thus
Do you think she'll stop her fuss
