Choices
Withered trees
And unfathomable houses
My clothes tattered and worn
My feet bare with splinters in my skin
My wish to be in the previous home I was in
The home I lived happily with a family
Worked profitably
And spent lavishly
Only if I were wise
Only if I had friends to talk sense into me
This would be the words of a once comfortable man
Living on the streets
From a comfortable lifestyle
To the lifestyle of a beggar
In this world
You may have been given lemons
But the way you use those lemons
Would be the way you will live
Think twice on your choices .
