Choice
Without choice,
Without freedom,
Trapped six feet in the sky,
In a world upside down,
Where the heavens hide the ground.
Without responsibility,
Without mistakes,
Unbound by the choices we cannot make,
This is a world in which I dream.
Without blame,
Without shame,
No right,
No wrong.
A world empty and clean,
Running where all is plain,
Falling into a dream
Sinking through the sand,
Watching life fade away,
We're left with no choice.
Happier now,
That we have no voice,
Words are weapons,
And words are walls,
Safely away,
No one to bother,
and no one to call.
A world without choice is a world without pain,
Nothing to lose, and yet nothing to gain.
