Child's Worst Nightmare
Every child has that thing that haunts them,
It is found under the bed or in the darkest part of their closet,
It is the malevolent and vindictive Boogeyman.
Its presence is felt throughout the night,
The children don’t know how to fight it,
It drives them insane and to the very brink of manic fright.
They reach for the lights and scream for their parents,
The Boogeyman comes closer making his way to them,
Closer, and closer becoming less transparent.
The children don’t know that this frightening specter,
Is the manifestation of their deepest, darkest fears,
They see him as their Soul Collector.
The children will soon become wiser,
That the malevolent and wicked Boogeyman,
Is a child’s worst nightmare.
