Children of the Night

Children of the night Lost in the daylight, alive in the night Who are the children of the night? They roam our cities, like packs of wolves Hungry for love, never getting full Misused, abused, hated, and scorned Always sad, hopeless, and forlorn Where do they come from, who was their spawn? Will they ever feel that they belong? Unto the night, a culture they create One of sorrow, shame, and hate What is their future, what is their past? How long can we allow this inhumanity to last?
