Childish Fear

Darkness is my fear,
my mind plays tricks on me.

Is that something in the corner looking
at me.

Up under the covers, i cower in fear, feels like somethings
watching me, nearer and nearer.

Maybe under my bed so i don't drag my feet.

Did i hear something, what was that, somethings in my closet ready to attack.

Something is going to get me so i scream, jump off my bed to the light switch
in one leap, turn on the lights, but to my surprise, nothings there
but me scared of me.

Nice!!!! Oooh I really like this! If you are so inclined, you should check out my poem 'the demons of mental illness' it is quite similar to the concept of this poem. Great job, I love finding poets that write similar to how I do!
