Childhood
I skip and jump and run so free,
I dream of what I'd like to be.
Will I a lawyer or doctor be...
I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Don't hurry me...for now I play,
I'd really have it no other way!
Don't saddle me with fear and dread,
that a loser I might be instead.
I dream of riches, fame, and more,
I stand before an open door.
Don't label me when I am young,
to end my song before it is sung.
Let me enjoy these few younger years,
before I start to worry about all my fears.
