Child Parent

The divorce hit like a tsunami, But nothing could prepare this child, To take her mother's place. She cooks, she cleans. She tries, she screams. Trapped in this alternate space. Seventeen and the mother, To a 50 year old teenager, And three 70 year old children. Sweep this, mop that, Feed them, clean this, Do as I say! The only parent unable to make decisions, Is a child parent.
