Child of Innocence
Child of innocence
as pretty as a spring flower,
as lovely as the moon's glow;
I am amazed to know
from someone as little as you...
how life can have
such an incredible value...
more precious than refined diamonds,
much more mysterious
than a wandering butterfly
so free to search for the hidden joys,
so eager to discover that endless sky!
Child of innocence,
you should have been born
a little princess
to show your gift of beauty
with that glimmering crown,
which nobody
can ever steal from you!
O child of innocence,
how could I
ever be like you?
And if there weren't an adversary
as real as destiny,
so much I would change
and give for a simple wish;
but all the lonely years you'll miss...
won't send you into rage!
And if there weren't dreams,
at least,that special one
you are pursuing so passionately,
what other reason would there be...
to smile,to have fun
and to go on otherwise?
Child of innocence,
I will stay beside you
until the very end;
and we'll fight for those good causes:
to defeat the foolishness of the ones who
willfully disobey
the benificial laws
of Nature and of God!
Child of innocence
when you'll be alone,
don't be afraid
to ask for my helping hand;
you were there when the bright summer's sky
turned gray and light never shone;
and you asked me why I cried,
if my tears were for someone that I loved...
