Chief Warrior Eagle

Brave Indian warrior Sitting alone in the woods In the soft glowing light Of a low hanging moon Shining on the mighty river Brave Indian warrior Playing the flute The forest comes alive Animals waking from slumber To hear his melancholy tune Brave Indian warrior Deep in thought The music lets him escape Taking his mind of things And focusing Brave Indian warrior Reflecting on the past Thinking of all he did All he could do All he should have done Brave Indian warrior All alone now Concentrating Drifting away Into exploration of the mind ~~Written By~Brittany Larson~ For Constance's contest ~"Tell His Story"

Brittany, I really did enjoy this poem of a great Indian warrior. Looking back at the photo, I do see him lost in tho't..and drifting away. Enjoyed the reflecting in tho't and possible regret of what he could have done. Nice entry. Look forward to reading more of your poetry. Gwendolen

Hi Brittany-- enjoyed reading your entry for Constance's contest-- I really liked how your first line repeated all throughout the stanzas, and how each stanza flowed into the next--I wish you all the best in the contest :)
