Chicanofly

"CHICANOFLY" today they sit inside the day I spoke of many times. they never thought it'd come true. they never thought I'd be right. all of what I was, all of what I wasn't, all of what I did, all of what I didn't do, all of how I lived, all of how I laughed, cried and walked down the path I made, all of what they hated, comes together inside my wooden box. I can see all of them now: the family that detested me, the friends who gave excuses when I needed a quick buck, the old loves who turned their backs to me and the whores who asked me to go with them to choose the best rope to hang me with. it's madness but they all had something in common then: me. the loyalty to themselves brings them to stand under their umbrellas as they stare at my shiny new wooden face. if you asked them anything about me, they'd talk your ear off of situations I was an ass-hole in because they didn't get what they wanted from me. with their sarcastic colors, they said: "Eddie is Eddie, you'll never find another one like him." folding the flyer with my birth and death date and putting it in their pocket getting it ready for the laundry, the reality of never finding another one like me is perfect like a knife.
