"Cherish Armour"
She wears Her armour, LOVE - draped like chain mail shields You with Her heart When She is drowning She will throw You to the sure safe for Your future And She will cry of lost children morbid oblivion, damnation and desolation Her tears flood wider than any vast deep ocean Hidden behind Her 'damns' of Courage and devotion Her sheer "will" burns steely evocation Deep through skin to blood and bone You take Her Lead - brandish Your sword in quiet strength You march on, where She stands invisible beside You In cold halls accused of absence You take all Her stories they are all Your rosaries, gold crucifixes, silver, diamonds and pearls And when the time comes, You are no longer a mere "Girl", My sweet unwavering novitiate Warrior Your mother is in Your mirror You see Her standing proud and tall through Your windows Her mother stands beside Her and Her mother and Hers and Hers and Hers You have a vast powerful army standing there beside You And way out in front - there stands stoic stalwart You - One Room - a fierce, noble, most capable, strong loyal legion surrounds You You lead with Your genuflection too, on bended knee Your head bows to Lux Vitae there is Your true guide a paradox through time They travel from 7th level to be beside you A portal through the womb More than 3 Women in armour standing beside You Daughters of Mothers Mothers of Daughters “Cherish your Armour” Time does not truly leave You Through Black Wars of Roses The "True" colour reigns golden, and blue Her Love that is - "All of Her", in You it lives on and remains living on and on and on Cherish Your amour... through all the long dark nights and all of Your living and dying days in You it lives on and remains living on and on and on LUX VITAE always beside You always within You You are loved and you are strong

It's one of the strongest topics worth embracing and pursuing. As for Nan and Bess, that union was forged in Love, Blood and Honour beyond their brutal and unjust separation and they remained joined in spirit and courage. I love that story. Fierce and brave and full of LOVE. Thank you for your kind comments Richard. :)

"Leanne, I have done the same thing, so I know the feeling...as for my reply to your poem it was a moment in time and a thought that flashed in my mind...I can only recall some of it..."this sword of light so fiercely wielded by the strong hand of love will defend the veins of time against the darkness...my mother had such hands" this is all I can remember my poetic friend...Frederic"

Hello Eileen. I know sometimes it can be disheartening, your own inner voice niggling away at you and the voices of others you hear and read here and possibly elsewhere. There are always words of encouragement from genuine readers. The most important rule to hold onto is you must never give up. You have a very special and rare gift to share. Sometimes you need to walk away, to clean out the cobwebs and reassess, but never, never EVER give up on yourself and your writing, it is your gift. I will keep my windows open towards your stories. Just when you think it is the end, it is really only the beginning. x Leanne. Thank you for your kind comments on my page/story, I thought a nice poem for Mother's Day. I wrote it mainly with a lot of Love.

Nothing and I mean nothing, will ever part a "good" mother from the side of her child, whether male or female child. This poem specifically written for Mothers, Daughters, Sisters who think their mother is no longer with them and that if they do not know this already, know through my thoughts now, they have more strength in them than they realise, they never truly walk alone. Thank you for your kind comment, Robertina. x

Got a bit tricky there with the play on words, but I do like it myself. Thank you Line. xxx Added in Bess and Nan, a very interesting mother/daughter duo.
