The crack of the bat The arc of the ball It lands over the fence Gives the fans a thrill Close play at the plate A headfirst slide Clouds of dust raised He's safe; game's tied! Cheer your lungs out Give an occasional boo Beer and brat at the ballpark Great day for me and for you

Well, baseball's back. Right now 60% of stadium capacity in Chicago. As of june 11, 100% again. The stadium's are rockin' again. :) gw

Sounds a lot like the South Africans and their Rugby - in fact I must say I enjoy a game of Rugby if we play an International team. Enjoyed this poem - feel completely at home with it! Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Baseball is the grandest game of all. I'm not big on the direction of the game today. The rules changes are not improving the game.

I agree with you about the rule changes in b-ball, Kenneth. They wanted to speed up the games, and they all still take over 3 hours, except the 7-inning doubleheader games. :) gw

Wrigley will be back to full capacity, supposedly, as of June 11. Today it was limited to 25,000 (60%). It's rockin' though. Cubs are hottest team in the majors right now. :)

Hello Gershon … baseball is not popular down here, but cricket with a huge following is a sport using bat and ball and a cheering crowd when the ball is whacked over the fence - thanks Gershon - Lindsay
