CHECKMATE
I played the game of life with God.
He let me win a few.
Then He showed me in one more move
that I was in a stew.
I lost my Pawns. I lost my Knights.
They were all in the way.
His Knight overcame my Knight
and left me in a fray.
As His Bishops moved in upon me,
I tried to protect my King,
but sadly all was lost
when He took away my Queen.
Don't worry, He said with compassion.
There's another place to be.
Your Kingdom is in my world.
It is not lost to thee.
