Staring down at the doctors report I let the inevitable sink in My moment of truth has finally visited me, Do i sink or swim. Memories taken long for granted Wash over my tired mind Like ghosts who have come to lead me, To a fate most unkind. This is when you really start planning Procrastination has to flee There are steps that now need climbing, So i can leave this world with ease But i gotta go out swinging, Its what God expects of me Ill serve him til my last breath And he comes to rescue me.

Enjoyed reading your work..I hope that it was not a bad report..There is a famous poem by Dylan Thomas that would be a good to read along with your work..I think it is called "Don't Go Softly Into The Night"...Sara

Thanks Sara, no this is not about me, but about my Dad, doctors can do nothing for him now so he is facing the inevitable. I will check out the poem you mentioned. Thanks for commenting, blessings Carl

I'm not sure what to say...I'm so sorry if it's an illness you have or whatever. The poem really says a lot. Thank you for your comments....Holly Moore
