Cheater

One last cigarette,  whiskey's gone. Alone with my thoughts, Lonely, not alone. Share your bed, your smiles, Your seed. Draining my soul, Never meeting the need. Silence so loud, Aches and throbs. Eager for dreams, Jaded, robbed. Beautiful memory, Poster of lust. Vampiric passion, Eats at the rust. And dust... That settles, Deep within. Screaming, fighting, Begging not to give in. Melancholy comfort,  Weak to your desire,  Longing for the cherry, And the fool's rancid fire.  Toxic goddess and innocent, Where did I go wrong? Mistress to your very breath, Siren to your song. Icy silver etches flesh, Crimson ebb and flow. Living in a lover's world, Limbo, all I know. Tip toe on bated breath, Bubbles, shatter, shards. Psychedelic reality. Icy queen, no guard. Pin prick of indifference, Leads to anonymity. Failure to understand, forever reaching, For glitter dusted reciprocity. Twinge of guilt, accustomed dusk, Midnight, nearly dawn. Hopes the mime will wash his hands, His face, Puppeteer another pawn. Without love and ties and family, That bind the braids within. And, the ever constant chemistry, Of a lifetime of mortal sin. Gilded idol, of youth and yore, Seas of azure soul. Friend and foe and perceived perfection, Heart weakened by yet another hole. You lied! Monster! Rapist! Thief. You swore! You promised.  You deceived... Oh, if I didn't love you so much, You'd be strangled, with the webs you weaved.
