Chasing Euphoria

Euphoria I chase for it has gone, The search for the rush leaves me withdrawn, Bliss once found me but never shows again, Fighting a battle to which there's no end, My body is yearning for that ultimate high, My tears flow like a river which never runs dry, It torments my mind these visions of release, Wondering thoughts when shall you cease, Escaping reality with these drugs I take, Embracing my addiction to dull my hearts ache, Trapped in a prison in the depths of my soul, Shattered existence taking its toll, Running from the melody of drug's lonesome song, Pain overwhelms me for the days seem long, Addiction please go my tiresome friend, It's time that your power comes to an end Roxie Perry
