Chanukah Song
After the
guns have been fired
and later - the dead counted
we remember the wars of long ago
Who will hold up the flag of peace?
When tired feet can no longer move
Sitting and watching the candles burn
lighting up the shadows
The thickening smoke and fire
remind us
there is a dawn - after every night
Wouldn't ask you to see what I see
yet maybe you will in time
soon the city will sleep
Dream on people of the metropolis
The festival continues
Even as we slumber
light in the corners of the endless galaxies
Shines on , shines on , shines on !!!
