Changing Seasons

I start with Spring glorious spring the time when things wake up and once more colour floods the earth with beautiful scented flowers They all bask with delight in the yellow sun while birds are busy building nests in which to lay and tend to their chicks one day they soon will fly. Spring fades into the hot warmth of summer now its the turn of insects and creepy crawlies ants scurry along about their tasks now bees busily collect the pollen for honey. Beautiful ladies promenade with their beau's watching lovely butterflies take to wing some are caught by passing birds that delight in feasting on all insects. On we go to autumn sadly saying good bye to summer time now to bring in the bountiful harvest larders stuffed full with goodies like apples, corn and herbs Stored away for later when winter's snow cover the earth turning all white tucking into each crevice and frost dangles like sparkling tinsel or maybe even jewels of every colour Lakes and shallow ponds freeze over making people gladly huddle in front of roaring fires sniffing the smells drifting in from the kitchen Its Christmas and once more we Remember the Lord. Also the true meaning of his birth we can hear God whispering in our ears all now start to get tired of this frozen land yearning for much warmer chimes. Suddenly one day winter dies away Spring once again begins to rule the land

You write nature so well.. The imagery in this is just so vivid in each line.. I dont know how you find so many different ways to describe it.. I sent you a soup mail, did you get it?

a magnificent creation, Shadow. I love how you came full circle, beginning and ending with spring. I can relate to these words: all now start to get tired of this frozen land yearning for much warmer chimes. That's me already, and we're really not in to the intense part of winter yet. Nicely done...have a splendid evening, Sara
