Change

The role of woman in society will always be the role of the follower and not the leader as long as we still have people who believe that every girl should at some point want to get married, have children and then groom those children to be the best they can be while cooking a delicious meal in the kitchen,I mean hello,if the woman is meant to do all those things and have a job in order to contribute to the day to day functioning of the "black home" then what exactly is the point of a man again? Oh right how can I forget to supervise an already perfect system. The sad thing about this is the fact that it's not only "uneducated/poor" people who have this mentality, the people that we attend class with and learn about fair and unfair discrimination with have also adopted this way of thinking,so if it will not be changed by the future working class then who will change this perspective of how a woman should act, dress, talk, speak, laugh, cook, marry, have kids? Oh please let's fall out of this poor mentality because it's certainly not giving this dog a bone in any way, let's liberate our black sisters to the point where they don't have to answer to anybody because they don't want to follow but they want to lead.

Thando, Kunjani! or should I say, Dumelang/Lagai? Ek is Indier van Durban af, maar ek het van onse land uitgegaan. I had to learn Dutch-Afrikaans in the 1960s and at University of Durban Westville, then. I agree that we must keep "renewing" our minds, as the Bible says, especially in Paul's letters (NT) Siyabonga! Deo

Molo.....I agree with you on the point that the mind needs to be decolonized and maybe then we can say that we have made progress.
