Change

Look at yourself Think in depth The reflection you see Is it really me? Time has past And nothing really lasts Things move so fast You're happy then your sad Yesterday was a good day The day before was okay Now your thinking about today And tomorrow has no say Wow! How things can change Even your last name Maybe even glory and fame Things can bring you to shame Everyday is different than the next There is always a new test Sometimes you get no rest But each day you give it your best Sometimes you shallow away Hide in your own space Leaving no trace Of why you are fading day by day You may even be asked Why you are being so drab Like a funnel with a tab Locked away in a chemistry lab Is this a metamorphosis of some sort? Or deep down, are you really hurt? Can't find your way, so you revert From extrovert to introvert You may not know why You seem to always cry Tears streaming out of your eyes Seem to be losing ties Getting lost in yourself sometime Trying to rewind the hands of time But the clock won't rewind Not even mine And then... You are happier than you've ever been You've discovered a brand new friend Who let's you know that there is no end To the love they have for you and how they feel within Your eyes glow You are always on the go You yearn for more and more Everything is alright, this you know Your life is moving along Your heart is singing a brand new song You just cannot find anything wrong In this time and place is where you belong Just a few months ago your life was in disarray You couldn't find the right words to say You didn't know what else would come your way But you faithfully continued to pray GOD blessed you in the blink of an eye You sit back and think "my oh my" The heavens have opened up the sky And an abundant life is your prize So you see, nothing ever stays the same And sometimes there is no one to blame But we all know the name And we call it Change
