Chain Reaction
We stare at empty ceilings because we can’t bare to look at the pictures
That are full of empty smiles because they know that is what’s expected
The empty people that wear them are all searching for the same thing
But end up finding the same empty souls to cling on to
So begins the empty love affair that pacifies their superficial hearts
As they spend empty years wondering why they aren’t whole
They accept this and begin the rest of their empty lives
And thus begins the never ending empty cycle
Because we accept the emptiness we think we deserve
We output empty love and in return expect to find something that makes us whole
But I’m here to tell you that the emptiness you put out is what you get back
So maybe I’ll try to be whole and I’ll receive whole love back
