Cave of Darkness
This cave of darkness,
Is what I now call home.
My memory of light, hen
Slowly fades each day.
I was banished here, to darkness,
When you left and took the light.
My life since then,
Has no meaning.
I no longer feel,
Just go through the motions.
All that holds me here,
Is a faint whisper of your voice.
Yet, i'm blinded by this darkness,
All the pain, hut, and lies.
I cant believe this was the meaning of life.
In my cave of darkness,
There isn't a speck of light.
I'm lost don't know where to start.
I know my only chance is you.
But will you come back into my life?
And lead me to light.
Will you lighten this cave?
And show me the way?
Take me back to once we came.
Grant me forgiveness,
On my worst days.
And I promise to protect you,
On your cold and lonely days.
All I ask of you,
Please rescue me from.
This Darkened Cave.
