Castles In the Air
A lonesome child sat on the beach
Building a sand castle
Sitting with his spade and bucket
He was deeply engrossed in the play
A bunch of big boys hovering near by
Playing volley ball
They were hooting and catcalling to each other
As the game intensified
The child was almost through with his job
Stood up like a sentry watching his work in satisfaction
He was about to call out to his mother
When whack… the ball smashed into the castle
The child was shocked
Tears started trickling down his face
As he heard the bunch of boys laughing
He looked at them fiercely and thought…
I will never build a castle in the sand
But I will build one in my mind
Where no man can ever reach….
