Casting Stones
Casting stones
Yet we are all sinners just the same
Taking turns with the pointing of the finger
Yet we are all the ones to blame
We created this world in which we live
This place where so much has gone wrong
Separated as we grow weak
Never realizing that united we are strong
Death is all around us
In the dying of a dream
Why in a world filled with so much hope
Have the children lost their gleam
Men are killing men
Know one really knows what for
A mother is crying out
There has to be something more
There has to be more than this sadness
And hearts filled with hate
Trust has grown bitter
Has this truly become our fate
I do not have the answers
To all the problems to be solved
But I do know that nothing will ever change
If we do not get involved
We must face the wind
With the sun at our backs
We may have stumbled here
But we haven’t fallen completely off the track
So let us all take a deep look inside
Where the light of love can be shown
Stop with the pointing of the finger
And the casting of the stones
The End
