This is such a fluid reading. I love your frequent use of alliteration. It makes the words just roll off the tongue. Congrats on your win in this contest :-D

Fine writing, my friend. I enjoyed the flight. I found your dispensing with capitalization and punctuation novel. I can't seem to get away from it; but then, I have no reason to. Good stuff!

a lot of the lines were just phrases rather than full sentences, which I think helps move you through it without pausing as much. I find alliteration helps me with pacing too

It's a marvelous poem, Jeff. Make no apologies for your style, whatever it is you choose. I have a wide range I write within, I think. I enjoy diversity, differences. I'm slow to criticize how another person frames their creation. I just want to be able to read it and understand what the poet is saying. Sometimes, the poet is saying a lot with form and format alone, i.e. shape poems, diamante, etc.

punctuation is a plague for me! I never know what to do, get all these elaborate uses of ;,: and then I had someone tell me to use it very sparingly and let the reader decide, and I'm like, what? thanks, this was just 3 stanzas, and I then I hoped it created a bit of a "spell" going on a flight to fancy, so I added the last stanza and entered it!
