Cast No Shadows

Some folks seem to think as long as THEY are satisfied EVERYONE should be. NOT SO. Sometimes other family members have wants and needs that should be considered too. Maybe those wants and needs differ from yours but we have to stop and think about what's fair. Don't make your mate live your whole life where that person is not happy. Don't go through life thinking that doing something to make someone else happy takes something away from you. Don't think that giving in a little now and then is going to destroy your self worth or wreck your life. NOT CONSIDERING EVERYONE CONCERNED IS GOING TO DO THAT.
Be of good cheer, spread love where you can.
Give your smile to he who has none.
Be a light to he who lives in the dark.
Be a blessing to he who needs one.
Don't cast dark shadows wherever you go.
Don't rain on other's parade.
When for all your hard work you've but lemons to show,
Get some sugar and make lemonade.
Accept that in life there are good times and bad,
And every rose has some thorns.
You can't grow a garden 'thout sunshine and rain.
If you plant peas don't expect corn.
Whatever you sow that you will reap.
In all ways of life this is true.
Sow discontent, anger and grief,
Don't be surprised that's what grew.
When you are young you plant and store up,
So that old age won't chill to the bone.
Think just of yourself and ignore your mate's needs,
And you'll die sad, cold and alone.
